Serena is passionate about hosting intentional spaces to facilitate connections and collaboration around common interests and ambitions.  Serena came to State College, Pa, to pursue a degree in Psychology from Penn State and graduated in May 2013. During the fall of 2011, Serena became involved with New Leaf Initiative as an intern, which catalyzed her interest in the Centre region community.  She is now a co-director at New Leaf, which just launched its new co-working office, shared space, and community hub within the State College Municipal Building in February. Through her work at New Leaf, Serena hopes to support the growth of entrepreneurs and the local innovation ecosystem.
