Paul is a vice president at FirstMark Capital, an early stage, tech-focused venture capital firm based in New York City.  Paul joined FirstMark in 2009 and focuses on Seed and Series A investments in the digital media, education, enterprise, and healthcare IT sectors. Paul currently holds five Board Observer seats at FirstMark portfolio companies, and also leads efforts on the investment origination and execution teams. Outside of FirstMark, Paul serves as a mentor for a number of NYC-based education and technology programs, including The Academy for Software Engineering, Blueprint Health, and the TechStars startup accelerator. Prior to joining FirstMark, Paul worked within the M&A group at Allen & Company, where he focused on transactions in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.

Paul holds a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University.
